Si parte dalla curiosità e dalla voglia di imparare ma la prima nozione che tutti gli aspiranti concertisti dovrebbero conoscere è la sequenza delle note. Osserva il disegno:

Il diesis
alza la nota di un semitono (cioè di un tasto) mentre il bemolle
la abbassa, sempre di un semitono. Il bequadro

The sharp
shifts the note up by a semitone, the flat 
shifts the note down by a semitone.The natural sign
nullifies the sharp and flat effects.
