e &lt;strong&gt;sesto&lt;/strong&gt; grado della scala maggiore (ricordo che per "grado" intendiamo un "gradino" di scala musicale). Non possedendo intervalli di semitono nè di tritono, è molto versatile e semplice da utilizzare, anche ad orecchio. Mi viene in mente un bel tema suonato interamente con la pentatonica, si chiama "Mo' Better Blues" di Branford Marsalis che fa da colonna sonora all'omonimo film di Spike Lee del 1990. Sono come i mattoni della casa. E' essenziale capire come devono essere disposti e come devono interagire per sostenere la struttura.&lt;br /&gt;Nel nostro caso i mattoni sono i suoni.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;L'intervallo è la distanza che c'è tra due note &lt;/strong&gt;e può essere di due tipi:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1) &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Melodico&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;, quando le note vengono suonate in successione.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_l94jc7qAql0/S0y-HYVW-AI/AAAAAAAAAFA/gCwvXIvYoog/s1600-h/Intervallo1.jpg"&gt;&lt;img style="WIDTH: 200px; (o "accordi") e di &lt;strong&gt;melodie&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;Segue il prospetto degli intervalli.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1) &lt;strong&gt;Seconda minore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista un semitono (un tasto) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2) &lt;strong&gt;Seconda maggiore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista due semitoni (due tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3) &lt;strong&gt;Terza minore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista tre semitoni (tre tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4) &lt;strong&gt;Terza maggiore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista quattro semitoni (quattro tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5) &lt;strong&gt;Quarta giusta&lt;/strong&gt;: dista cinque semitoni (cinque tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6) &lt;strong&gt;Quarta eccedente&lt;/strong&gt; o &lt;strong&gt;quinta diminuita&lt;/strong&gt;: dista sei semitoni (sei tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7) &lt;strong&gt;Quinta giusta&lt;/strong&gt;: dista sette semitoni (sette tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8) &lt;strong&gt;Quinta eccedente&lt;/strong&gt; o &lt;strong&gt;sesta minore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista otto semitoni (otto tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9) &lt;strong&gt;Sesta maggiore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista nove semitoni (nove tasti) dalla tonica;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10) &lt;strong&gt;Settima minore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista due semitoni (due tasti) dalla tonica in senso discendente;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;11) &lt;strong&gt;Settima maggiore&lt;/strong&gt;: dista un semitono (un tasto) dalla tonica in senso discendente.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Per familiarizzare con gli intervalli è bene prendere canzoni e melodie di riferimento e costruirsi un bagaglio di suoni il più ampio possibile.&lt;br /&gt;Ecco alcuni esempi (completate la lista come esercizio).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seconda minore: lo squalo (il film); Adesso iniziamo a fare un bel passo più in là con il famoso &lt;strong&gt;giro di blues&lt;/strong&gt;. E' una forma sonora di origine afroamericana, armonicamente è semplice, lascia grandi possibilità per l'improvvisazione ed è composta da accordi di settima (accordi formati da quattro note). Questo giro lo troverete, magari con qualche lieve cambiamento, in una miriade di canzoni. L'obiettivo di questa tecnica è suonare in modo uniforme e scorrevole. E' un po' come camminare, prima un piede, poi l'altro. Così con il plettro: giù, su, giù, su, eccetera. &lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Per esercitarsi: tenendo il tempo con il piede, suonare ottavi, sedicesimi e terzine. Spesso sono legati alla mobilità delle mani, al senso della coordinazione e del ritmo, alla teoria e via dicendo. E' normale, data la complessità della materia.&lt;br /&gt;La soluzione che viene messa istintivamente in pratica, però, è la ripetizione di un movimento o di un esercizio che lo faccia "venire bene". Ma quello che di solito manca (anche tra persone che si esercitano da anni) non è tanto l'esercizio fisico, ma il &lt;strong&gt;pensiero musicale&lt;/strong&gt; in genere.&lt;br /&gt;Quando qualcuno inizia a studiare ha infatti due possibilità: suonare, ripetendo meccanicamente i movimenti fisici per creare una così detta "memoria muscolare" oppure affiancare alla tecnica quello che io chiamo il pensiero musicale, che è la &lt;strong&gt;capacità di capire e dare un senso agli eventi sonori&lt;/strong&gt;. La seconda opzione è preferibile perché i primi passi dell'apprendimento dovrebbero essere finalizzati non tanto alla fisicità pura, ma alla capacità di affinare le tecniche di percepire e pensare la musica. A parità di ore di esercizio, immaginate quale strada può condurre ai risultati migliori.&lt;br /&gt;Ma in pratica? Qualcuno si chiederà. &lt;strong&gt;In pratica bisogna soprattutto cantare&lt;/strong&gt; e questo vale per tutti gli strumentisti. &lt;strong&gt;Cantare significa avere l'esperienza fisica del suono,affinare la capacità di intonarsi e di ascoltare e, siccome la musica è l'arte di gestire i suoni, i benefici sul proprio strumento preferito saranno una conseguenza naturale.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Non solo suonare ripetendo “ciecamente”, dunque, ma cantare, ascoltare con interesse dando un senso a ciò che si percepisce, parlare di musica con gli amici, leggere, interessarsi ai meccanismi dei suoni e dei ritmi, trascrivere, provare, comporre, e chi più ne ha più ne metta. La prima, la terza e la quinta nota di una scala si comportano quindi come dei “nodi magnetici” che attirano le altre note. si può trasportare in qualunque posizione partendo dalla quinta corda. In pratica, la chitarra funziona molto con gli &lt;strong&gt;schemi&lt;/strong&gt;. Questo schema si può riportare su qualunque nota della quinta (e in realtà anche della sesta) corda, producendo il suono della relativa scala maggiore. Se parto dal re (quinto tasto, quinta corda) avrò la scala di re maggiore, se parto dal fa (ottavo tasto, quinta corda) avrò la scala di fa maggiore e via dicendo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;La terza &lt;/strong&gt;si impara per completare le possibilità dello strumento. A lot of guitar's dynamic pivots around &lt;strong&gt;patterns&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;This is one of those. So, if we start like we did, in&amp;nbsp;C major, the first note was on the 3rd fret and 5th string where the note C resides. If we want to play, say,&amp;nbsp;D major scale, just do the same finger pattern starting from the 5th fret, 5th string. Come prima cosa, &lt;strong&gt;trovatevi un buon insegnante&lt;/strong&gt;. Se è vero che nella musica non esistono scorciatoie, è altrettanto vero che un buon insegnante vi farà percorrere la strada nel modo più veloce. Dal punto di vista pratico, invece, basta analizzare un po' di metodi musicali per rendersene conto da soli. Per nominarne solo alcuni, il Fulgoni, il Leavitt (W. Leavitt, A modern method for guitar Volume one, Berklee series), il Kodaly, partono tutti da un concetto che nella nostra cultura occidentale è talmente conosciuto da risultare spesso ripetitivo: &lt;strong&gt;la scala di DO maggiore&lt;/strong&gt;. La ragione del perché nel mondo musicale la bandierina di partenza sia messa proprio in questo punto è legata al fatto che nel piano, lo strumento didattico per eccellenza, la scala di do corrisponde esattamente ai tasti bianchi. E' dunque una scala visivamente pura e lineare, con un suono decisamente familiare.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Provate ora a creare delle melodie usando solo i tasti bianchi di un piano, non conta il grado di preparazione che avete, conta l'entusiasmo e la voglia di esprimervi che faranno uscire musica da uno strumento che finché non lo suonate, rimane un bel mobile. Come dice Jamey Aebersold non esistono note sbagliate, ma solo note meno adeguate. height: 27px; width: 46px;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I metodi moderni della didattica musicale come ad esempio il &lt;em&gt;Manuale di musica (di Mario Fulgoni, volume primo - &lt;/em&gt;Edizioni musicali&lt;em&gt; La nota&lt;/em&gt;) iniziano il percorso di apprendimento con lo studio del ritmo. Condivido pienamente l'idea affermando quindi che &lt;strong&gt;il ritmo è la base della musica&lt;/strong&gt;. E' logico, visto che è stata probabilmente la prima forma di comunicazione umana. L'immagine consolidata dell'uomo delle caverne che per trasmettere messaggi si batte il petto ne è una spia evidente. E' quindi un segno di intelligenza che trasmette regolarità e sicurezza e non è un caso che il meccanismo si trovi anche visivamente, nelle pubblicità, nei dipinti e nell'architettura, sotto forma di figure che si ripetono. La percussione in sé è dunque un esternazione della pulsazione del cuore umano ed è anche una forma liberatoria e di rilascio delle tensioni che riflette la voglia di muoversi liberamente e probabilmente anche di danzare.&lt;br /&gt;Tradotto in musica, Bobby McFerrin docet, parlando di Bach e della "danceability of music" (la capacità della musica di far ballare) in un documentario di Michael Lawrence della MLF films:&lt;br /&gt;"[...] I'm surprised that when you hear this music (speaking of Bach) that you just don't really let yourself go, because, you know (he start singing)... I mean... &lt;strong&gt;how can you not dance to that&lt;/strong&gt;? [...]".&lt;br /&gt;"[...] Non so come si fa ad ascoltare questa musica (di Bach) senza lasciarsi andare (inizia a cantare)...voglio dire...&lt;strong&gt;come fai a non ballare&lt;/strong&gt;? [...] ".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nella pratica, partiamo per convenzione con il ritmo che la nostra cultura occidentale sembra prediligere, il &lt;strong&gt;quattro quarti&lt;/strong&gt;. Quattro quarti non significa altro che quattro battiti o quattro pulsazioni. Si usa la dicitura QUARTI (o mezzi, ottavi e raramente, sedicesimi e trentaduesimi) per facilitare la suddivisione ritmica, che affronteremo più avanti.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Iniziamo contando da uno a quattro in modo ciclico ad alta voce e battendo le mani ogni volta che si pronuncia il battito numero uno. Poi facciamo lo stesso, ma battendo in corrispondenza di ogni numero. Più volte si batte le mani all'interno di un ciclo e più si &lt;strong&gt;suddivide&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Il passo successivo consiste nell'ascoltare delle canzoni qualsiasi e ben ritmate accompagnando con il battito di mani&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;la pulsazione. Questa pulsazione è il cuore della musica e il battito di mani deve essere &lt;strong&gt;uniforme e regolare&lt;/strong&gt;. Lo si può fare in qualunque momento, anche senza strumento. Think about the caveman beating his chest to deliver his messages.&lt;br /&gt;Then, it's a sign of regularity and cleverness and it's not by accident that the same principle applies to drawings, architecture and advertisings, where ryhthm shows up as repeating pictures.&lt;br /&gt;Percussion is also a figurative translation of the human heart and a rite, both of releasing tensions and of movement and dance.&lt;br /&gt;Musically, Bobby McFerrin docet, speaking of Bach and the "&lt;em&gt;danceability of music&lt;/em&gt;" in a Michael Lawrence's documentary, by MLF films:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;"[...] I'm surprised that when you hear this music (Bach) that you just don't really let yourself go, because, you know (he start singing)... Move on by clapping on every beat. As we progress, we will start to subdivide the beat further.&lt;br /&gt;Get in touch with your favorite songs and clap your hands along.
